Boxer Insane
It is with the greatest sadness and a heavy heart that I say, Blizzy kept her end of the bargin, she made it to Christmas like I asked her, my end of the bargin was fulfilled at 2:15pm today. I helped her go peacefully to the bridge. I had to her a few weeks before Christmas, please stay healthy enough for my younger dtrs 4th birthday (which was 12/23) and past my other daughters birthday (12/28) I told her if she wasn't strong enough to make it to 12/28 than please stay strong enough just for Christmas.
She was in decent spirits yesterday, made her rounds for hugs and kisses (both sides of the family were here) got her fill of yummy food that was always a no-no in the past and snuggled with my girls. Later in the evening I could see she was tired, not feeling well and I knew in my heart, ready to go. This morning, she didn't wake me for her to go pee. She stayed upstairs all morning, only peed 1 time, didn't eat or drink (i offered her ham, sweet potatoes..all the stuff she had yesterday..didn't want any of it) ddin't wag her nub, nothing. She had a far away look in her eyes, I told her if she was ready to go, I would let her..she perked her ears up and looked at me as if to say. "if your ready to let me go, I am ready to leave." She had what seemed to be a few little seizures and was unable to stand. My hubby carried my 75+ pound baby to the truck and I lay in the back with her the ride to the vet. The doc put the IV in, and I swear it wasn't but a drop pushed into that IV and Blizzy looked at me with a faint glint of her old self, put her head on my leg and stopped breathing..I swear no longer than 2 seconds. She went peacefully. The doc even commented on how she didn't even push a fatal amount in and Blizzy let go. Doc said Blizzy was ready to go, once you let her know it was ok.
My daughter who's birthday was over a friends house. We just told her..not good..the little one hasn't even asked too busy playing w/PlayDough. So my white angel on earth is now a white angel in Heaven.
Godspeed my sweet baby. I miss you terribly already and the house is eerily quite without you!
