Boo
Completely Boxer Crazy
Jasper seems to have cut his tongue on a can he filched from the garbage (you know that big extra *food dish*).
It seems to be bleeding a lot (not gushing or spurting), although knowing how much is blood when it's almost certainly mixed with a fair amount of drool. I am assuming he's probably drooling a little more than usual too.
Of course it's hard to see his tongue too.
He's licking his paws, which I know is a comfort thing for him (he does it right before he goes to sleep). So I guess that's a sign of some distress.
Has anyone had experience with tongue injuries? How long will it continue to bleed? My brother cut his tongue badly once and it seemed to bleed for hours but it didn't require stitches.
Any advice would be appreciated. DH is going to take him to the vet if it hasn't stopped bleeding in an hour - but it seems pointless if the vet is going to say he can't do anything.
