Boxer Insane
Today we went for a walk in the fields and by the river. At the beginning of the walk there is a stile and a gate, but there aren't really any gaps for the dogs to squeeze through.
So Tommy jumped over the stile and my OH lifted Billy over.
What a silly dog, he wriggled so much that as OH lowered him down, he wriggled out of his grip and landed on his tummy with his back legs splayed out behind him! It took him a moment to scramble to his feet and then of course he was holding one leg up!
We were so upset - we have had so much trouble with his poor old knees. We gave him a minute to recover and then walked him a little way. After a few yards, he started using his leg again - we all breathed a sigh of relief!
We decided to keep him on the lead to stop him running about too much and straining the leg. The next field had sheep in it anyway and so obviously he had to stay on the lead in there.
So now we're home and he's gone to his bed - I just hope he hasn't damaged his knee. I think a good rest is in order for him.
