My Max is now about 14 months old and really has alovely character. But here's what happened and what's becoming a major problem...
When we go walking outside, he's totally the opposite.He will growl at everyone, except children (we have kids going in and out,maybe that's why). I've noticed his backhair raised, for the whole time we're out. I came to the conclusion, that it must be fear, instead of aggression.
The other day, my husband put on a security uniform, to start his new job. Max did not realize it was him and freaked out. What he does is, run around like a maniac and pee all over the floor! He also does that, when I let strangers in the house. Since we're aware of that, we have to take him out right before any guest arrive.
Another incident happened last week. as we were doing our walk, I spotted some children on bikes on our street. I moved him a little away to the side, not to scare the kids, and we pretty much passed them without a problem. One of the kids returned , sped up on the bike and went like a rocket directly into Max.He stopped and made his bike squeek as he was trying to come to a halt. max then completely freaked and i had to use all my power to stop him from pulling.It was very hard to calm him down after that.
things, similat to what I've described happen all the time.Unfortunately, I'm not in the position to pay for an instructor/trainer, but I would like some advice on how to approach this problem.
