Not only in the face but my friends, male ones at least, and I have to be careful about how we stand when Koda starts a charge at us. Sometimes he jumps on you at the end of the charge and his paws tend get ya right where it counts... if you know what I mean... Singing in falceto for a while after that. One learns to stand sideways when he makes that first approach.

One of my DH's friends came over to the house and Payton first got him "there" with his paws (Ouchhhhhh!!!!!), THEN as the poor guy was bent over in pain- Pay manages to somehow head butt him in the face (nose, chin, not sure exactly where it happened)- The poor guy!
At the time it was funny though! To this day when he comes over he stands sideways also! (and covers up all vulnerable spots)

Once again I'm picking on our little Gypsy but she is still a puppy. We call her legs because she will be laying on the bed and just start flopping all her legs around and you better be careful cause she might just smack you in the face. She is learning to be more careful especially since she nailed my husband in his eye and he had to go to the eye doctor the next day. The problem is that she is soooooo cute.

Completely Boxer Crazy
It never fails each night when I get down on the floor to do my Pilates exercises that Snubby thinks it is playtime and I end up getting a big paw right in the eye. I finally realized if I give her a PB stuffed Kong I have at least a fighting chance of keeping my eye!!

Spike does this when he is being affectionate. The girls call it "petting Daddy" and I think that's exactly what it is. We "pet" him with our hands and he wants to reciprocate. After several scrapes and a scratched eyeglass lens, I've learned to anticipate these strokes and catch them on my glove -- I mean hand, lol.

Yes, this has happened before, but the worse thing was one day Buster was playing with a stick and decided to throw it in the air and it landed on my eye! It was so swollen and I had to go to the ER because I was afraid that some of the stick got in my eye. They questioned me on what happened (maybe thinking my husdand did it) and they all got a laugh when I told them my dog did! Since then, I have learned to duck!

NevaDiva

My Neva gets me in the morning as well as play time. My bed is a bit high and she is only just 7mos today. When I hit the snooze on my alarm too long or she just plain has to go, Neva reaches for me and just about gets me in the face every time. She is'nt being fresh then. She does, however, kind of push you away when she is resting and does'nt feel like being bothered. That is the Diva in her. That is fresh.
