betting "boxed" in the face

how many of you have been socked in the face by your boxers?? just laying there next to your boxer and before you know it he/she throws one of those front paws up and gets you. no harm intented, but sometimes the nails will get you or you get poked in the eye. last week he gave me a quick jab and the nail actually caught the inside of my nostril. its so hard not to get mad at him because i know its just part of his trait but it stings!

That isn't a "trait" that is just being plain rude - you should get mad and let your dog know that it is inappropriate

I've gotten a good right hook to the face a time or two. Winston can get a little excited when we are playing :rolleyes: Never when we are resting, if he can find a lap to curl up in, he's not moving!

dh does all the time he plays with Foreman until he gets boxed and screams(over reacting) when he gets hurt!!!!!

J.C. did that to me about a month ago. I had a small cut on my lip from it, but I really couldn't be mad at him for it. We were wrestling on the floor and he was on his back and I was sort of sitting on top of him trying to keep him from kicking me with his back legs. I looked at him and said, "Now what are you going to do?" Yep, POW, right in the face! At that point I gave up and let him win.

Mine do that when we are playing but haven't yet done it if we are just laying there. It does sting sometimes when those claws get ya but I usually laugh.
