Beta Glucan for fighting Cancer

Has anyone heard of anyone using Beta Glucan for fighting cancer in dogs? I heard of this through a family member who is a pharmacist. She claims she fills orders for this for dogs routinely and has seen favorable results.

Anyone else heard of this?

I use K9 Immunity Plus for Bandit, which has beta glucans in it. It is suppose to help support the immune system. Of course, like all these claims, you just never know.
