I must say...our furry little babies really are the best shoulders to cry on! I'm going through a 'BREAK' with my boyfriend Matt. Not a 'Break-Up'...but a 'BREAK'. :(
Anyway...I got home last night from Matt's house, and Sirus was waiting for me just on the other side of the door. No wiggles or beaning...just there. He calmly walked up to me and nudged my leg with his nose. I broke down and cried all the way to the couch, where Sirus joined me. He layed across my lap and rested his heavy head on my chest. I felt so warm and loved at that moment. Poor guy...had wet marks all over the top of his head! But he didn't care...just licked my tears away and tried to comfort me the best way he knew how...with lots of Boxer lovin'!

Thanks for listenin'!

Sorry to hear about you and your boyfriend taking a 'break'...I kinda know how you feel. Mark and I went through a period of almost half a year where we just couldn't get along...but we lived together and shared so many things that it wouldn't have been good for us to take a physical 'break'. During that time, I was home a lot and he wasn't and Asia always knew something was wrong. I would come home from work and cry on the couch and she would lay right next to me.

Anyway, I know how you feel :). Look at it in the best way though; time apart can make the heart grow fonder. Until then, eat up all that time you get to spend with your furbaby Sirus! ;)

Ahhhwww, I am sorry to hear about you and your BF but I am glad that you have Sirius. They really are a good comfort when you are sad, that look, like what is the matter mummy....and when they just come up to you and put their heavy head in your lap, you must love them.

Sorry things are tough right now. I agree, our boxers are amazing with how they sense our emotions. Cisco is the same way, he even steers clear if I am mad at one of the skinkids.

My baby just barks at me

I wish mine would sit with me and give me a shoulder when I'm upset. but instead if i'm upset and crying my TJ just looks at me and barks at me really loud. Or maybe he's saying "Who upset my mommy, let me at them"

I too have found out that they can be the best comfort at times of need. Titan just comes and sits down by me and is like ok mom let it out. I also found out the other day when i came home from work with a killer headache that just laying my head on Titan and holding him made my headache ease up enough that I actually felt better. I dont know if it was his warm body or just the idea of comfort but he always makes me feel better when I'm down or sick.

My mom died this year and there have been days that it seems like all I can do is cry. Diabla is great she will get into the small place just to be next to me. If I am on the couch she will put both paws on my shoulder and slide they back until she is hugging me. It is so sweet. I really don't know if I could have gotten though this year without her.

I`m sorry to hear of your ""break" I hope this passes soon. As for our boxers I sometimes wonder if without mine if I would be paying for therapy!!!! LOL You can`t beat our babies when it comes to being able to read our emotions, and they always seam to know the perfect remedy. I don`t suppose during this "break" you will have any extra time to spoil your baby a little more ???

Best shoulder to cry on

I agree 100% that boxers are the best. They seem to sense when something is wrong. Today as I had my Ali out for her pee I slipped coming up my steps and I really hurt my knee. But what amazed me was how she was so concerned about me. Just all over me. So caring. These dogs with their sweet faces and lovable eyes that seem to say I'm here for you is the best homecoming ever.

Hope things are better for you.
