My Lilly used to chew bottles (into tiny little pieces, which I didn't think would really hurt her), until she swallowed a small piece and it got stuck in her intestine and we had to have it surgically removed. Just be careful to not let you dog chew pieces off.

Now instead we give her the cardboard drink trays from fast food resturants, she chews them into tiny little pieces in minutes flat and if she swallows anything it will pretty well dissolve before getting stuck.

Kevin's main household duty is to break down the cardboard boxes that 12 packs of soda and beer come in. Ha, he gets excited when he sees me bring a new one in, and waits just outside of the kitchen for me to finish emptying the contents into the fridge and toss the box his way. And then it's about 15 minutes of crashing, tearing, and rolling around before he has flattened the box and it is ready for the trash.

Hurricane too! His favorite thing is shredding paper and cardboard, but he knows he is only allowed to shred things I give him (he learned this pretty quickly after he destroyed a couple of paperbacks.... mommy was NOT happy with him smashicon ) I make a point to get groceries either in paper sacks if I can, or if I have purchased soda that week he gets the boxes. He gets all of our paper towel and bathroom tissue rolls (these make excellent crate toys too, put a few treats inside and fold the ends over, kind of like a homemade Kong). I live in the boondocks, so I shop alot online, and he also gets all of our shipping boxes and paper stuffing! :) He knows it too, cheeky little man, and will stalk ever so patiently behind me as I am putting things away, until my back is turned and he can "steal" the empty box away! It is his favorite game. :)

Hahahaha, Hurricane destroying the book! Kev has come close to pulling one of those heists before.

The funniest "I love to rip up stuff" moment I had was one time when it was late, and I was just going to run down the street to get something to eat (to go), so I decided to let Kevin hang out on the couch while I was gone, instead of going into the crate. I'm usually pretty good about getting stuff that I think he might get into out of reach before doing this, but....

I forgot the big package of kleenex I had picked up at Costco, sitting by the pantry. When I came back home, it looked like there had been a blizzard, and Kevin was sitting on the couch, calmly chewing on a kleenex box.

empty bottles

Empty bottles are great and you are right the noise is just starting to get out of hand when they finally become unusable thank goodness..... The best is getting some fun fabric and foam squares from the fabric store and it takes about two seconds to make some great crate pads..
