It is an elevated bed. Suspended from the PVC is a nylon bed. It is a great concept and I thought that my dogs would love them but none of them would sleep in them. They are in my basement collecting dust. They are to go to the rescue as soon as DH figures out what crates stay and what crates go. You can view these online at JBPet, Jeffers Pet, Drs Foster and Smith and other websites that carry dog products.

Stella has the bed from L.L. Bean - the outside is easy to wash and very durable. My only complaint is that the cushion inside has sort of squished down. For as much as I payed for it, I guess I expected it to stay fluffy longer. The good news is that they sell the inside separate from the liner, so you can always buy a replacement cushion.

My roommate's shih tzu has the slumber ball and Stella seems to like that better than her own bed. It's amazing how little of a ball Stella can curl herself up into to fit in there.

My husband says "why bother" Roxy and Trooper only like a couch with a HUMAN already on it!....I am going to try and find something though because dogs are too rough on furniture (re-training ought to be fun)

I know what they look like, but we have no one around here to actually see one in person. From pictures, it looks like it is would be hard. The only thing I can see is it would get them off of the floor but it would still kinda feel like they are on the floor to them. Am I making sense?

i really want to find a bed with some type of roof. since brutus loves to hide under things. something with not a lot of room to run around it but big enough to do a couple of circles and lay down. and keep him cuddly and warm. but can't seem to find exactly what i am looking for. i found something similar but not anything that would actually put a roof over his head. i am convinced if it didn't have some type of roof that any human would do just fine and he wouldn't lay in it.

Yes, we do have a Costco and I was there the other day checking out their beds. They had ones that were fleece covered and filled with cedar chips. Are those the good ones?
Boy, they sure do stink though! :) I am assuming dogs like this eh?

I don't believe mine is full of cedar chips (at least it doesn't smell like it) but it is fleece covered on one side. The other side is a normal material like the fabric that covers furniture. I know Costco purchases items regionally so perhaps yours is carrying something different than mine?

Then I would suggest a Cozy Cave. They have great photos online at In the Company of Dogs. It even has a Boxer in it. Buy the largest size. It is what we have. Our 13 month old loves it. It is funny to watch her go in and circle and dig and circle before she settles in. I would suggest buying it on Amazon or Ebay over in the company of dogs just because it is cheaper. We have the large not the extra large. We could not find the extra large at the time on Amazon. My boy is 55# and my girl 45#. They are 25" and 23" at the withers. I hope this helps.

Great Beds!

Hi, I have three beds from Victoria Peak and they are great! There is pounds of stuffing that does not flatten or bunch all up. The stuffing is in a zippered white washable lining and the there is a denim outer zipper cover which can be removed to wash. They have really lasted a long time and have been washed weekly for over a year. The dogs just love them! I am going to order a new one for my new pup. Hope this helps! Judy
