Poochie Bells

We got some Poochie Bells after training Cash and June using a cat toy with bells tied to a shoe string. They come in lots of colors and designs, and have a set of bells near the top and bottom of the ribbon. This was great when June was a puppy since Cash was almost full grown by the time we bought them.
As for them ringing them just to go out and play, they rarely do. Once you get them trained, you usually know the difference between "ohhhhhh I gotta potty!!" and "I want to go chase that rabbit in the backyard!!" For June, she literally slaps the bells and makes them go crazy when she's just wanting to go play. If it's just needing to go potty, they both nudge the bells so we hear them.

Taz Run his Bells

Just had to say I love the Bell training. I went out looking for bells after reading this thread and found some at Walmart on Sunday and would ring them going outside throughout the day. Last night he rang the bells himself for the first time! Didn't expect it so quick!

He's not doing it consistently yet, but it's better than him not giving any hints but the sniff and circle. Though as soon as I go "ehhh" at him when he's circling, he immidiately runs to the door :), which tells me he does know he's suppose to go outside.

In answer to the actual thread, like the previous poster I did find them at walmart in the area where the tick sprays, cleaning sprays, etc are.
