Bed time

How does your boxer sleep? Evie and Adam both have their own jumbo sized pillows. They are allowed on the bed - and one of the usually is sleeping with us come morning. Adam has a funny habit tho. When Adam goes to bed, he will do a million circles, then lay down - curled up on his pillow. After a few minutes, I hear his collar/tags jingle. I look over and Adam is laying all spread out!! LOL Body is on the pillow, and his head is hanging off the pillow and laying on the hardwood floor!! He looks all kinked and uncomfy, but is sound asleep!

Anybody else have any weird sleeping habits?

Willis does the same thing! His butt on the pillow and his face mashed into the floor... It's so funny; if it were me, I'd want my head in a comfy position. But then again, he licks his own butt sometimes, so I guess we have different tastes :D

Toffee sleeps in very weird positions sometimes too--like you described with her body on her pillow (bed) and her face off of it. Also, she sometimes sleeps with her neck oddly crooked--very uncomfortable looking! She sleeps on the bed at night, though, but sometimes in weird positions.

strange sleeping habits

Beau moves around during the night. I bought him a thick comforter to sleep on and put it beside my bed. He usually starts out on that and moves to the bed after a while. If I get up to use the restroom during the night, he crawls into my spot and keeps it warm. When I come back, he lifts one of his front legs so I can rub his tummy for a minute. Then, he goes to the end of the bed and sleeps for the rest of the night.

Koda does the whole circle thing also. He will spend 5-10 minutes going in circles. I'd be dizzy if I did that...LOL:D

He usually starts out in bed, then he'll get tired of that and go down on his bed on the floor, then he's back in the bed, come morning half the time he's up with us in bed, the other half he's on the floor....

Luka likes to hang his head off the end couch- it's so cute, but I can't understand how it's comfy! (He is just a little bigger than the coffeetable now and he'll stand on the oppisite side of me and rest his chin on the table, looking at me :D) But when we are sleeping, he sleeps on his side with his legs sprawled out. When we were on vacation last week, my friend just had a single bed for us and one side was against the wall. Luka chose the wall side- but laid with his back to the wall on his side and had his legs all extended- I was tettering on the edge- he took over 1/2 the bed!

Herkie does the twirl too! I think its so funny when he does it...will get ready to plop down...and then twirling again. But he's in and out of the bed ALL night. I sleep through it...so I don't mind. And yes, he gets into some positions that don't look comfy at all. If he's sleeping...and giving me a little peace...then have at it!

Cinnamons pillow is covered with a blanket, shell circle on it forever then dig a bit at the blanket, lie down, get up do it again then go to sleep. I sleep in the fetal position and Ill wake up in the middle of the night to find her curled up between my legs. Sometimes shell lay her head on mine and sleep,or shell stretch riht out and push me away. When shes asleep in the living room shes on her back with her legs open...very un lady like.

i never understood the whole entire nesting routine before they lay down, but i am glad other boxers sleep with their heads hanging off of something. i though my 2 were the only ones that did that. glad to know they arent the only crazy ones. it looks like it hurts. i use to fix them when they did it. i use to be scared that if they fell off the couch they would break their necks. i slowly got out of that habit though.

Lately Guinness has been starting between us in our bed stretched out with his head on the pillow between ours....nutty puppy thinks he's people!!! Then he'll slowly make his way to the foot of our bed and flop with his head on one of our legs. :rolleyes: at least HE"S comfy!!
