Boxer Insane
Don't know what the weather around the rest of the globe is like - but here we've had heat indexes around 105 degrees, and dew points in the 70s. Basically, it is HOT and miserable out.
Today when my brother got home from work, he let his boxers outside. After a few minutes, he called them back in.... only one came back. So he went out to look for the female and found her lying in their outdoor run, not moving. He ran out there and carried her back inside, but she was totally limp and not responsive. Rushed to the vet where she finally started to come to. Exam and bloodwork were normal, this episode is being attributed to the heat.
So PLEASE be careful! Juno suffered from heat exhaustion last summer too... so it happens, and it doesn't take much time outside and doesn't take any sort of physical exercise! We've been cooped up in the house a few days and Juno's starting to get antsy, but we are playing it safe!
