Baxter doesn't like me:(

Hi everyone,

I am beginning to get a complex. He's only 7 weeks but I feel he doesn't like me. He'll go to my husband and both daughters when they crouch down and clap their hands but when I do it he totally ignores me. I feed him, give him treats, etc. Will he warm up to me eventually? If so when? Thanks

I agree. Just give him so time. Tyson always went for Mike and not me. Now it's completely the other way around. Guess he does know who loves him the most

give him time, your are his "mom" he is the one he goes to for food, water, etc... your husband and kids are his "liter mates" so to speak,, a puppy will play with his brothers and sisters then come back to mom when its time to be fed or cared for. its like kids your with them all day then when dad gets home they act good and go to him at least thats how my son was

As previously mentioned, you have to give him more time. We got daizy at 8wks and my daughter and I were convinced that she hated us! She didn't want to play or give kisses at all. Boy, did that change, by the time she was 10wks she was miss personality!

Tonite was the first night that for the first time it seemed like he was happy to see us. We went out for dinner and when we came home Baxter was very excited to see everyone. That was nice.

If he is anything like SuzyQ was, he'll soon figure out who to run to when he's getting into trouble or getting scolded or hears a loud noise that scares him.

I agree give him some time, he is still very young. He will love everyone in the house.
