I'm bummed that Ronin and I can't go tomorrow either. He had a viral wart removed from his ear yesterday, and now has staples in it's place. He has to wear an Elizabethan (sp?) collar for ten days until the staples come out. He keeps bumping his head on everything. Poor baby - I feel so bad for him! Hope to see you all at the next one however!

Heatstroke is very scary and when I look back at times we were at the dog park, Diego was exhibiting signs that I didn't recognize or even know at the time :(. Which is exactly the reason for meeting earlier on Saturday for those that can. We'll have to concentrate on scheduling multiple play dates in advance when the weather normalizes.

Record breaking temperatures is expected tomorrow to exceed the low 90's and will be even hotter in Redmond! I'd almost prefer postponing the entire day, but thinking by meeting @ 9am reduces heatstroke conditions and allows our boxers to play safely. I don't expect anyone driving from a distance to show. Personally, Diego & I won't be able to stay past 10:30am unless he decides to play in the water.
Remember to bring your $1 parking fee, WATER and towels
! Poop bags are available on-site.

The weather guys are now saying 97 in the foothills (Redmond) tomorrow, which is WAY too hot even for me! The weather is supposed to "normalize" next week - temps in the low 70's. Ronin gets his staples out next Friday too - so next Saturday would be great for both of us. Hopefully that will work for others as well. Have a great weekend!

Mary Moore, Meetup This Sat. 07/24/04
Hi Lisa, Yes I would love to meet up ). We go to Mary Moore every weekend, I call it the Disneyland for dogs, the best dog park around . We go to the Westcrest Dog Park on the weekdays, because we live in West Seattle and its about 40 min. drive to Mary Moore, but it is whether it. What time were you thinking of heading up there on Sat. we get there around 12:00 or so. Oh, and if you'd like here is the website for boxer meetups in the WA area

they have meetups the first weekend of every month, most of the time it is at Magnuson Park, but the last couple of time there has not been enough people for the meetups. There has to be 5 or more people for a meetup. They have pictures of all the past meetups its great fun. Well, I will see you on Sat. take care, Melissa. Next time you have less than 4 committed boxer folks, post something on Boxerworld and if we'll certainly be there if we're in town that weekend - anytime!

I'm so sorry if anyone should up last Saturday between 8:45am - 9:20am :( - it was WAY TOO HOT at that hour. Next time we shouldn't hesitate in rescheduling. Again, please accept my apologies if anyone showed and we weren't there!

The nice thing about Magnuson is it's on the shore of Lake Washington , plus whole park is fenced in entirely with double gated entries, and a fresh water source.
