I know his sounds silly but I can not get her to stop, I just ignore her so she gets used to it but she wont stop, anything new she will bark for ages, do you think i should leave the broom and other stuff so she can check it out?

Bayleigh barks at the broom, dustmop, rake, vacuum cleaner, lawn mower....! I have always told her "NO!" She will leave the broom alone after being told no but sneak around and attack again. I usually try to sweep when she is either asleep or outside with the skinkids. Raking leaves this fall should be a lot of fun!

Bella did the same thing. I would just hold the broom up in the air out of her reach and look away from her. At first, she would bark, growl and jump for it, but once she realized it wasn't playing with her she would walk away. When I would put it back down, she would come back....I'd do the same thing. Eventually she figured out that the broom is not a chew toy!! Now she will sit in the living room and watch me sweep! Good luck, they do feel the need to protect us from the evil evilicon broom and vaccuum!!

Ty makes it impossible to sweep. He hops and barks at the broom and chases it all around the kitchen. Then, it's a guarantee that he will belly slide directly through my dirt pile before I get it swept up and into the trash lol ! I now sweep when he's sleeping, it's much easier.

I sweep, mop and vacuum when Sam is either in his crate or outside with Sean. He doens't bark at them, but he'll growl and try to box with them all. Very cute, but not conducive to good cleaning!

Maggie hates the vacuum, she jackhammers it to death !!! She's already broken the headlight, but that's no big deal because I don't vacuum in the dark anyway =)

We ended up giving Mya the broom. Now she has her own to bite and chew and we have ours for sweeping. She knows that she isn't allowed to bother ours and goes and plays with hers. What a sight it is to see a dog carrying a broom around the yard.

Lily use to bark and throw a fit at the broom. As she got older, she did it for shorter and shorter periods of time. Now she's 9 1/2 months and it seems like she hasn't bark at the broom for ages (still the occasional bark at the vaccum though). I would say to keep telling her no and ignore her. It will go away with time (we hope) :)

Our Sadie does the same thing.
She barks and attacks the broom, mop and vaccuum.
I just figured that she was a disgruntled housewife in her past life. I am glad to hear she is not the only nutty puppy around.
