BEANER 1

Boxer Pal
Hi all. I have a question... Butterbean does not bark I mean she can if we are playing with her or something like that ,but she won't bark at people knocking on the door etc. I was wondering if anyone had this happen? She is 5 months old now and just thought I would have already had my first woowoo song.

Love the name. I never consider boxers as big barkers. Kona doesn't bark much. We actually try to incourage her to bark when someone knocks at the door. We go "Who's there. Go check it out"
None of our boxers were ever woo wooers either. Never noticed it much except for reading peoples comments here on this site.

Bentley is 9 months and is not a big barker. He doesn't bark at people ringing the door bell at all. He does do a very low bark when he sees someone from the back porch or out the window at my parent's house. And those are pretty low and hardly noticable sometimes. To get him to bark to go outside or for almost any other reason is like pulling teeth! Sometimes it just takes time though. She's still very young. I'm sure if you keep working at it she'll take to it if that's what you want :)

Neither one of our girls bark when someone rings the bell. They just go look out the window and wiggle themselves silly.

Chelsea woowoos and talks back when I tell her no. Angel has never woowooed at me, sometimes she does to Chelsea when they are playing.

Angel barks at the cat which gets Chelsea barking at the cat, otherwise they don't bark any other time.

I thought that Boxers were barkers but Sadie rarely barked when she was less than a year. Now she will vocalize at a strangers that come in our yard but not exceedingly so.

Elvis wont bark, he sometimes growls quietly is something worries him but hardly ever barks! Not even when we ask him to speak with a treat!
