Barking?

You just might be in luck, boxers aren't really a noisy breed.

Unless your name is Raine.
Raine barks ALL THE TIME. I will say that it is getting *slightly* better with age. She will let some things go that used to set her off as she has now gotten used to those sounds but other things still drive her crazy.
She of course barks at anyone outside. Walking in the front on the sidewalk, mailman or neighbors coming and going. If someone is in their yard outside behind us she will charge the fence and bark. She stops quicker now and I don't have to be on her so much since the neighbors have been told just to "hush" her (they don't always but will talk to her and this calms her down).
If she isn't barking she whines. If she isn't whining she woo-woos and carries on and it is LOUD. She is always making noise.
I only hope you don't have a defective barking Boxer like me!:LOL::LOL:

Oh Raine. What will we do with you?

Zoe still doesn't woo-woo. It kind of makes me sad to be honest!

Charlie never Woo Woo 'd until he was about 2. He never really made any noice actually. LOL. Now he woo woos and if there are deer in the yard and we get him all worked up about it he kicks his back legs liek a chicken... ITS SOOOOO FUNNY!

This might seem like a stupid question haha but what do you guys mean by woo-woos? Kinda like a hound noise??

Ugh, I am currently having a barking problem myself (I mean my dog, lol, not me barking). I am trying out the "stop everything" treatment. My boxer will start barking and yapping and I stop moving and playing and ignore him. Sometimes I even walk away. He tries to follow me but I ignore him. Usually, I go inside and leave him outside for a minute until he quiets and then I come back out.

Previous experience has told me that this works, except, so far, it hasn't done much but cause me to trek in and out of my house several times throughout the day!

Its as if they are trying to talk , have a look on youtube, search Boxers and you will find some under talking dogs or something like that,it is very funny I would feel hard done by if Roge didnt do it.

Yeah, it literally sounds like "A-whoo-whooo-whooo-wooooooo." Like a cross between a howl and a whine and a low bark. I call it boxer speak. It is a sound all their own. Unfortunately, its only cute when you can stop it. Uncontrolled and its designed to bleed your pockets of treats and be their servants, lol, as in its a very cute behavior but a very naughty one to reinforce.

Lol! I must have a defective Boxer like Cami too! lol Bentley ALWAYS barks if he is in his crate, however, i think its purely due to the fact that he wants out, sees mommy (WHAT a mommas boy! lol) & cant get to her, if im busy doing something, where i need all MY focus lol

Otherwise, just laying around the house, he RARELY barks! He will definately woo woo if he wants on the couch & someone else is snuggling mommy or daddy, or if he wants out.

When i have him out in public at all, he rarely, rarely ever barks if at all. He MAY woo woo, especially if he hears bagpipes! Oh my! He sings along with them!

Same with Royce, whos a couch potato; however, in public, if Royce so much as sees another dog, he never stops barking! lol
