Barking more than ever!!!!!

Napoleon is very vocal, always has been. He knows the speak command as well as the quiet command. For some reason, he thinks everything means speak. I can not get him to hush. He will follow you around barking, it is not a hateful bark, it is a playful bark, but he will not stop.

When DH drives into the yard, Napoleon starts woo wooing, then it turns into a whinny sound, then an all out bark that usually last for about 15 minutes.
DH totally ignores him when he comes in, which used to work, not any more.
He has tried to pet him, he keeps barking. DH and I can not even talk to each other, Napoleon thinks he has to be in the conversation. I tell him quiet, he looks at me and keeps barking.

Has anyone else had this problem? If so, what did you do, if not, I am open for anything.....

I guess I would try to keep correcting him everytime he does it. He sounds like he is looking for attention. Keep ignoring him or give him a time out in the corner.

How much exercise is he getting every day? He may need more exercise. Beau barks a lot and I notice he barks more when we don't get as much exercise (as in winter).

You know, I haven't even thought about the exercise. Right now, he isn't getting as much as he is used to. I have been unable to walk the past couple of weeks.
