Barking like crazy at feeding time.

Bojer has gotten in the habit of barking when we are preparing his meals for him. I get him to sit for a few secnds but he is so excited to eat he just looses concentration and keeps barking till he is munching away. Is there anyway to get him to stop barking before he eats. I was going to try preparing his meals the night before so when he gets in from his potty business the food is ready to go. What do you think? Also thanks again for everybody responses to earlier questions i really appreciate it, Bojer does too!

How old is Bojer? My puppy did the same thing when we first got her... I did not put up with it at all! The minute she would start barking, I would stop fixing her food and go do something else. After she'd be quiet for 2-3 minutes, I'd go back and continue getting her food ready, and if she'd start again, I'd repeat. Often times I had to do this about 4 times per meal, the whole thing lasted maybe a week or two. Now she sits and waits politely for her food, no barking or knocking me down as I carry the bowl over. Don't put up with it, and it'll end pretty quick!
