Boxer Pal
Hello - we have a 1 1/2 year old male neutered boxer, and he's a big boy, almost 100 pounds. Over the last 2 months we have had the strangest problem with him, and the vet bills are up over $1000 now, so I am looking to see if anyone else has a similar problem and solution suggestion.

Two months ago he got the runs - bad! - and in the house. About 15 spots on the carpet. He was shaking with pain, and it was really heartbreaking. We rushed him to the vet. While there, his joint swelled in the back hock and the vet drew fluid. Results were inconclusive, nothing really there. He recovered after a couple of days. He was on antibiotics and a parasitic prescription to dry up his bowels.

Then this week he had only one day of diahrea, we modified his food to the "runs diet" and he got ok. Then today he has been barfing up in the yard.

We did find some small green apricots that either the neiborhood kids tossed over the fence or some birds dropped there (that's happened before,m scared us to death. Little bird-bombs, baby apricots!) and of course he chewed them some, so we have been real diligent about keeping them picked up, whenever they show up (infrequent). I know that apricots have either cyanide or arsenic in the pits - and I'm wondering if this is the source of his upset or some other poison in his environment. There is an oleander bush nearby but he can't get to it, but maybe a branch fell off???

Anyway, if anyone has any tips for us, we are looking to solve his problem!

THANKS
