"Just as nutritious" as raw or not, homecooked is bound to be more nutritious than kibble in the vast majority of cases. 
Even if it's only for a short time, I'd feed real foods to a foster. It at least might be long enough to get existing problems under control and give the immune system a chance to return to fully functional status. And you never know - the adopters may be open to a homecooked or raw diet, especially if the dog is already doing well on it....
