Our 17 month old boxer has chronic undiagnosed vomiting. Did anyone have this problem and choose BARFing as the solution? Did it provide the results?

Any thoughts appreciated.

I haven't yet switched to the BARF diet, but I am also hoping it will clear up some frequent vomitting between my three cats and Wagner. I'll be interested to see some replies.

Is this a wretching type of vomiting or more of a regurgitation? Regurgitation is when they heave once and then a pile of undigested food and foam come up. We had this problem in the past (regurgitation) which is why I am asking ;)

We have all kinds of throw-up, but the regurgitation one is the most frequent of them all. Not that this is my post, I'm just curious.

Thank you. I looked up those old posts and went right out to check the food contents of both the cat and dog food. Loads of Corn. However, they don't throw up every day - almost though. It's a different animal almost each time. If they were all allergic to corn, wouldn't they all throw up every day?

Rocky didn't throw up everyday either. Which is why it was odd and I couldn't figure it out at first. The vet said he was just bloated and so I was giving Rocks Pepcid before his meals  Thank god I do my own research and talked to Aimee about it because who knows how long it would of went on.

Well, the vomiting sounds like it could be regurgitation. At least once a day she will lose an entire meal - and it looks like whole undigested kibbles sometimes, other times it is somewhat digested, and is always very smelly!

I appreciate the advice on the corn, but her food is a gastrointestinal formula and is comprised of chicken and rice for the most part - no corn.

We have friends with Akitas who had 'vomiting' issues and since they began BARFing, it went away. They say that it's quite simple - dogs eat meat, not grains. Wanted to see if the same success happened with anyone's boxers.

Thanks all for your responses!

I have to say that since I began BARFing almost 5 months ago, Lexi has not vomitted nor had diarrhea. She didn't have these problems frequently before starting BARF but she did on occasion become irregular. I love this diet and think you'd find great results on it! Good luck.

question

kaiser has a bit of the regurgitation as well, not all the time, but not never (if that makes any sense) lola has started that too, just last night and a little bit at lunch.

i'm feeding Flint River Ranch and soak their food in warm water before feeding.

do you guys think that BARF is the ONLY solution to this? i am looking at MAYBE switching to BARF later this year (september) and am a lil anxious about the whole thing. <just ask andie, i ask her a MILLION, TRILLION questions about it  >
