Completely Boxer Crazy
I didn't know you could take dogs into Lowes either. My husband is there far more often than myself, but I've never seen any dogs in there. Sorry your trip ended the way it did - you just keep educating the stupid - one idiot at a time!

I never knew Lowes was dog friendly either I'll have to call ours and find out :)
I dont get some people ... apperantly that man could take a lesosn from Bambi with Thumper says if you aint got nothin nice to say dont say nothin at all ...... Or better yet my favorite quote "its better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool then to open it and remove all doubt"

One time when I was at the info counter at Lowes, I mentioned that my Rudy was in the car and had to hurry up and take care of my business. The nice lady said, "Go get him and bring him in". Rudy was a big hit. He's so friendly. Everybody loved him.

Lowes and Home Depot in the Sacramento area are very friendly to dogs. There are two or three ladies that work at Home Depot that we always see and they always want to play with Pepper. It is a really good place to do trainig in as well...lots of distractions. That is the only time that I get dirty looks from people however.

I'm sorry; I have to say it.

Couldn't this lesson also be applied to someone who calls another person "retarded", a "Smart Ass", and tells them they have a "big mouth"?

I am really sorry you had a bad experience with Bailey; I sometimes get the same "is he part pit" reactions with BeBop and I understand it is frustrating. Both Xander and Bailey are adorable, but can you honestly believe that your reaction to that guy, in any way shape or form, influenced him or made him stop and think?

I am sorry, but I am continuosly baffled by people who complain about the rude or ignorant people in their life, and then tell stories about how they "taught them a lesson" by doing something like flipping them the bird or telling them off.

Surely there are more constuctive, more civilized ways of dealing with people who have different experiences and opinions than ours than hurling insults at each other?

I'll get off my soap box now.

My sentiments as well! Maybe a civil/polite conversation to educate/share with him about boxers would have been more fulfilling for all involved..
I know nothing about many breeds I would hate to be verbally blasted for my lack of breed knowledge and in a public place such as Lowes..OMG who would look more the fool me or the person setting me straight....

I wasn't trying to start a disagreement.......This guy was outright rude and by his tone was calling me a lier "are you sure" I'm sorry, but my dogs are my kids and if an uneducated person is in my face- I WILL get back in theirs. I don't feel sorry for what I said and I think that *most* people in my position would have reacted the same way. This guy had a tone to STRANGLE, he was not polite at all and I wasn't killing him with niceness-he needed a swift kick. He was all the things I called him and I wasn't taking no more lip.........
