I agree, obedience training is great. Boxers are large dogs; they need to know who is in control when you are out in public. Because of their strength, they can easily take charge of a situation, which is not what you want. Both of my babies go to obedience class with me and my hubby. They learn to be around other dogs and not jump on them, they learn to heel along side and not pull. It doesn't matter how old your boy is, he can be taught. And I have to say, the "Stay" and "Come" commands can someday mean the difference between the safety of your dog and a dangerous situation. When you go out with your baby, you want to be a good representative of our breed, and obedience training really helps with this. Plus, the class is really more about teaching THE OWNER how to work with the dog. Unless you know, it helps to have that input from an expert.
