Backyard.

Well Mum and dad have decided that they backyard looks terrible and that they are going to returf it.

I have warned them that they are wasting their money but they cant be talked out of it.

I am sure that Atlas is going to be the poor baby that gets in trouble for digging it up.

Well, we could win an award for UGLY YARD OF THE YEAR!!
My boxers do not dig, but they tear up what grass (weeds) we have just by running and boxing. Our yard is a combo of dirt patches and weeds. I am seriously thinking of having a few truck loads of sand delivered and dumped in my back yard. If my yard is going to look like a desert, I think it should have some sand!! LOL

ROFLMAO, Cynthia, too funny! Every time I planted mum's Loki made sure they didn't live very long.
I never had a problem with the dogs digging. I guess I'm lucky for that.

Your gonna have grass?? LOL We have patches of it, but it's mostly just a dust bowl from all the crazy running around the puppies do :rolleyes:

Austin doesn't tear up the grass, but there are brown patches along the bottom part of each bush and shrub in my yard. Just at the height where he lifts his leg!

How about a compromise....
You get new grass in 75% of the yard, and your baby gets a designated dig area. Heck you could even bury "goodies" there yourself when you do the re-landscaping - that will show up from time to time. Good Luck!

It's nice to know that my backyard is not the only ugly yard. Cynthia, I think we have to see who has the ugliest yard to get that award . My yard is no longer a yard from their running and boxing. To add to that Lily gets these urges from time to time to dig so ther are several roots exposed from a tree that they dug up. I don't want to waste money putting new grass in but, it looks very very bad.

This is soo funny because me and my husband always say that it looks like we are the poorest trashiest people on the block. Everyone else's yard is nice full green grass. Ours used to be that way until Muggsey came along. My sectioned off flower garden now has no flowers and Muggsey diggs to China in there. The yard has a big yellow patch from his urine. There is a huge hole dug along the driveway and various sticks and an old dirty sneaker in the middle of the yard . Bad, bad, dirty boy!!!

my backyard is horrible!! but that could be due to the fact that my house was abandoned for something like 30 years before my landlord bought it, did a crappy job or renovating it and then rented it to me :rolleyes: and told me to do what i like with the yard, so i have, kneesaa is allowed to dig and pee wherever she pleases!
