Hi All
Would really appreciate some thoughts.
This morning I went to walk Conker and he wasn't really excited like he normally is.
But he perked up and we went for a short walk. He wasn't pulling at first like he usually does but just as we were arriving back home he spotted a cat .... He started pulling like mad but then suddenly stopped and started crying and didn't want to walk on. Thankfully we were only a few metres from home and after some coaxing he walked back. But there's obviously something wrong - my hubbie came out to see us when we got back and Conker didn't even wag his little stump, nothing ( normally he gets a huge licking session ! ). Problems walking, looking extremely sorry for himself. Hubbie looked at him, pressed his back and legs, no reaction.

If it's still like that this evening we'll probably take him to the vet but would really appreciate any input from you all. I'm sitting here at work quite worried. He's already got arthritis ( since he was little ) - he's 3 years old by the way.

Thanks !

I'm so sorry about that, It must be awful when you feel helpless, So he didn't yelp or anything when your hubby touched him? I don't have any advice but I'm sending healing vibes for your baby, so is Hammer ~~~~!! Let us know what the vet has to say about it

Thanks for the healing vibes Hammer and Hammer's mum !
The vet didn't really know what was wrong, he checked the prostrate, back etc. Something's wrong but wasn't sure what. Complete " bed " rest for 5 days !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Has to stay in his basket, quietly !!!!!!!! My boy really is an exceptional boxer ( we all think that, don't we !! ) in that he's very quiet, likes to sleep A LOT, very laid back unlike all the other boxers I know .... But still, he does enjoy his morning walk and no walks for 5 days is going to be hard.
I have to tell myself it's for his own good, even when he looks at me reproachfully when I leave for work without walking him ... They are SO good at that reproachful look !!
If he's not better in 5 days ( with medicine and rest ) it'll have to be an xray.

Thanks again for your kind message.
Conker's mum !
