Megan started holding one of her back legs up Saturday. At first I thought maybe she sprained her leg when she was out running around but Sunday morning when we got up one of her toes on that leg is about 3 times its normal size, pink to reddish in color and warm to the touch and the foot itself is also swallen. So Sunday we gave her benadryl all day hoping it would help bring the swallen down, no luck. So this afteroon at 2:15pm we go to the vets to see what is wrong. Wish us luck. Somehow I think we will need it.

Completely Boxer Crazy
Just got in from the vets he said she has an abcyst and they are pretty common in short hair dogs. This one is really infected, so he gave us 10 days of antibotics. He said she did real well, because she is in a lot of pain and if he was her when someone touched the toe he would bite them. Megan didn't even growl and for that she got a piece of cheese. :) Just wanted to let you know what the follow up was on on vet visit.

Glad to hear it was nothing too bad. Bailey had the same thing a couple of weeks ago and it turned out to be an infected cat bite. Maybe now she will stop harrassing the cat :)

Clia had a cyst on her right back foot, between her little toes about 6 months ago. Medicine reduced the swelling and all looked fine for a month or so. Then it came back.

We had it surgically removed and biopsied, just in case. It was benign, thank goodness!

Our vet said it could have been an ingrown hair that caused it in the first place!
