Back Talk???

That is so funny because Red has just talked back to me for the first time today, We have a big plastic container that we keep all of his toys in, and he has just figured out how to open it and get his toys out.

I was in the kitchen and I could hear the lid banging as he was trying to lift it and I went in to him and told him "No, leave" (because there was already about 15 toys thrown around the living room ) He made the funniest noise that sounded just like he was saying "Ohhhh", and then looked at me with those eyes

Isis is a great conversationalist! She sounds just like Chewbacca and one day I am convinced that she will begin speaking English! She has lots to say when she wants a treat or her dinner. Also when she wants a walk she carries on - it's so funny! I think it is a manifestation of just how bright our babies are when they learn to "talk back" like that.

That is so funny! We are just over two weeks with our new puppy now and he has me in hysterics every day. If you tell him off he back talks you right away. And then god help you if you ignore him. I taught him to speak on command the other day and he loves it.....can't believe that he gets to speak and get treated for it.
He is my first boxer pup and I never knew that such a young baby could be so sure about their own mind!

Back Talk

Ali does a lot of whinning when she wants her own way. She paws at me too when I'm on the computer and believe this or not - she doesn't want me on the telephone. She will act up just like my kids did when they were small. It's unreal. She'll start tormenting Bailey and get him going and making this loud boxer sounds. I thought I was past all that once my kids were grown, apparently not.

It's so nice to know that my Harley is normal. Kelly doesn't talk back to me. She woowoo's when I sing and dance with her or if she wants me to get up to play. But she doesn't argue with me like Harley does. It's hilarious! I'd never seen a dog do this. I'll tell him to settle down and he just tells me where to go in his "chewbacca" language. I tell him to button his lip and he talks right back to me. He MUST have the last word! I absolutely love it.

My boys do this as well! I find it funny, now it drives me crazy when my kids do it! ! Koda and I have held conversations! But Deuce is the ultimate back talker!! You gotta love 'em!!

Yes, Ginger sometimes back talks to us too. Tell her something, and get Woo-woo-woo back. It cracks me up. She does listen but has to get the last word in

When this thread first started Chelsea had just talked back to me for the first time. Now she's talking back to my dh too and Angel started it yesterday too.

They are too funny!!!!!!!!

Dutch totally does that!!

that's so funny... my Dutch does that all the time. Seems like it's when we're practicing her tricks, and she does one wrong... I say "try again" and she says' "Weoooo.... woooraumph!" It's SO funny. Hard not to laugh. Anyhow... just thought I'd share!

Brutus back talks all of the time. Especially when I ask him to play dead or roll over. He whines the entire time until he gets his treat. Trinity back talks me when we're practicing take it. She gets so mad at me.
