[Ohio Boxer]

I am not sure this is a behavior issue, but do you think "baby talking" ( and you all know what I mean ), impacts a dog's attitude. Di talks to Indy in baby talk and he laps it up like milk, I got talked in to trying it and he looked at me like " are you nuts or sick ". Perhaps it's because I haven't done it much, from his expression I won't do it again either, or it may be because he views me as the Alpha person (he's not really a boxer, just a person in boxer clothing, so he thinks) and does not expect that from me.-- chuck

Cute I can just see Dad trying to baby talk to his boxer baby. That would be hilarious What we won't do for our babies. I like what you said about him not being a boxer just a person in boxers clothing, that is priceless.

Thanks. Anyone who has ever had a boxer knows what I mean. I have owned and raised a lot of dogs and this boxer is the smartest I have ever seen. Have you ever seen a dog that when you get the nail clippers comes to you ( he has a pouty face and laid back ears ), but none the less will come and lay down then lay on his side so he can get his nails trimmed. Di will give him some of his pills and he opens his mouth to take them. I know most guys might not say this, but I love my dog and he is way to cool.

That is just wonderful I love to hear about men that get involved with their furbabies. Men that are involved with their skinkids and their furbabies are usually wonderful men and we need more of that kind. Your baby sounds like a real kid by opening his mouth for his pills that is awesome, and the nail clipping stunt he does with the pouty face, I love that, you and your wife must be so proud of your babies and it is because you are the loving parents that you are that makes them the neat little doggie people that they are.

Yes it is!!! And I do talk baby talk to my baby and so does my husband. After all they are our babies, my skinkids are already raised, one still at home but in college and working, the other in college, working and married, so this is my baby.

He looks so much like Indy, except Indy has no white on his face and his ears are cropped. I am not a big fan of cropped ears but whoever did Indy's, did a really great job. He came from Rescue about 7 years ago with heartworms and a concerned attitude but has turned into a wonderful person. Having raised @9 litters of puppies from different breeds over the years, I would like to get a female with the pedigree to raise some really quality pups. Thanks for the comments. Seems like we are all very blessed to have such nice fur kids.-- chuck

i talk to my girl ally in baby talk all the time. i call her my angel girl child .she really believes she is as human as i am.she knows she is so special.

I think boxers are God's gift to show us how to be happy. They never seem to have a bad day. Mine is either giving kisses, wiggle butting, or just having a good time. chuck
