I have no idea about 8 weeks, because we got Hurricane at 12 weeks, but the day we brought him home he weighed 7.75 lbs (he is on the small side for a boxer). Hope that helps!

I think it can vary quite a bit. Cooper was the largest of his litter. We got him to the vet the day he was 8 wks old (we picked him up the day before..) and he weighed 13.5 lbs. :)

We brought Tyson home at 7 weeks, but at his 6 week check up with the breeder he was 10 pounds, at 9 weeks he was 14 pounds even, so at 8 weeks, I don't know, maybe 12-13 pounds. He's now 10 months old and 62 pounds.

Cami

Boxer Insane
We brought Cami home 5 years ago tomorrow! She was 2 days shy of 9 weeks. She was THIN and weighed 7lbs (had been severely ill though). Three days later at her first vet check up with us she had gained 3 lbs, and up to 11. Still a little thin but no worries. She made it to 62lbs (too heavy for her) and is now down to a trim 58.

They are all different, even pups from the same litter. Their weight doesn't matter as long as they look and act healthy.

Oh boy - Nero is 15 weeks and 26.5 pounds. Hummm. Might end up being on the big side. We were wondering how big he might get because he seems big to us.

I have see boxers all sizes. Sounds like your little one might be on the petite side. As long as they are eating well and seem healthy.

Weight

I just weighed Champ at my parents house last night. He was two days shy of eight weeks, and weighs around 11 pounds!! I took him home at 6weeks and 4days old and he only weighed around 6 1/2 pounds!

I just got my little girl. She is just shy of 8 weeks and weighs 12 lbs (via bathroom scale so it is probably between 11-13)

I think she looks a little thin... I'm wondering if her brothers and sisters were better at getting to the food bowl.

I think appearance and behavior is a better indicator of overall health then weight. Every dog is different.
