She is getting spayed today, I had to take her in yesterday so last night I had to walk by myself, my sister told me I should have attached to leash to my hubby & took him for a walk, never thought of that! But surgery is today & I get her tomorrow afternoon. I just called the vet & they said she is going in at 1:30, it is now 1:10. She said the Dr has tons of surgeries today & she is next (he ran to lunch). I told my hubby that he will have to go with me so he can pick her up & put her in the truck (Tahoe suv) then I said actually what we will do is take her crate, put it on the ground so she can go in & then lift her in that way, plus with her being in the crate she won't get jostled so much trying to balance herself. Thank goodness the vet doesn't use Ace so thats one worry off my mind. Yesterday I washed & dried all her bedding so now they smell nice & fresh & ready for her, I was going to go out & buy all new, but it washed up beautifully. OK so now I'm rambling, I cannot wait till tomorrow!

You will pull through, and in not time she will be her energetic Boxer self. Good luck and hoping you find a distraction for tonight!

I'm sure she will be just fine.:) I remember when Jasmine got spayed. She didn't have to spend the night but if she did I'm sure I would have felt they same way you are. I love the idea of taking your husband for a walk instead.:D

I know what you mean. The worse part of Elmo's neutering was losing him for 24 hours. It was a long, long night. Not being able to explain to them that the surgery is for their own good or that we will come back for them is difficult too.

But you should have seen Elmo kidney bean for us the next morning when we picked him up. He kidney beaned to the left, then the right, left, right.:D

Let us know how Dacee does once you pick her up. Give her big hugs and kisses for us and best wishes for a speedy recovery.

I know so much how you feel! I had to leave my girl for five days when she was spayed, because she had a very bad mammite. I felt so bad!:( Poor little girl without her mommy (or poor mommy without her little girl!!!;) ) Still have to neuter Igor, but as he's a male, I will ask to bring him back with me the same day if possible.
Give us some news!

When ozzy was fixed I had to go and get him right away as soon as he felt okay, he was driving the vets nuts:LOL: he missed him mom and dad so. If it hadn't been for the bill I wouldn't have know he had been done. But when we got hom he laid with me quiet on the floor and was fine the next day.

I picked Dacee up yesterday, all went well:D She was so happy to see us. When we got home she had to make a couple of rounds in the yard to make sure nothing changed (I walked her slow on the leash), and she spent the afternoon resting & sleeping (I'm sure she didn't get much rest there with all the others dogs around). I Still have her baby Annie (6 wk old kitten) she was excited to see her & content to sit & let her crawl all over her face & let her play. She drank some water, didn't eat though (to be expected) but did have a few bites of vanilla ice cream, peanut butter sandwich & some of hubbies popsicle. I'm going to get her up now, she may eat some breakfast, if not thats ok it'll be there for her. Thanks for all your concern, Dacee & I appreciate it. She'll get hugs & kisses from all of you.

Great to here it worked out fine. Must be so cute to see the kitten climbing all over her face.
