Austin's Mom
Boxer Insane
On Friday November 7th we made the heartwrenching decision to help Austin to the Bridge. He passed in the loving arms of me and his Dad. On Wednesday he began to pant heavily, and by Friday his belly had gotten really big. We took him for a chest xray, and there was so much fluid around his heart they couldn't even see it. He also had two nodules in the lungs and his belly was full of fluid. There was nothing else they could do for him. So we had to let him go be with his Gramma. Needless to say our hearts are broken, and I don't know what to do without him here. The house is so empty, so lonely. I walk around talking to him like he's still here. It all happened so fast. What we thought was an upper respiratory infection or allergies turned out to be something much worse. Thankfully he only had one really bad day, Friday. This just sucks so bad, but I am at peace with our decision and take comfort in knowing he's with my Mom and all his new friends at the Bridge. And of course his best friend Bart.
