Austin's Mom

Boxer Insane
On Friday November 7th we made the heartwrenching decision to help Austin to the Bridge. He passed in the loving arms of me and his Dad. On Wednesday he began to pant heavily, and by Friday his belly had gotten really big. We took him for a chest xray, and there was so much fluid around his heart they couldn't even see it. He also had two nodules in the lungs and his belly was full of fluid. There was nothing else they could do for him. So we had to let him go be with his Gramma. Needless to say our hearts are broken, and I don't know what to do without him here. The house is so empty, so lonely. I walk around talking to him like he's still here. It all happened so fast. What we thought was an upper respiratory infection or allergies turned out to be something much worse. Thankfully he only had one really bad day, Friday. This just sucks so bad, but I am at peace with our decision and take comfort in knowing he's with my Mom and all his new friends at the Bridge. And of course his best friend Bart.

That is just heartbreaking. :( I'm so very sorry for your loss and I can't imagine how lonely you feel without him. I get so upset when I read of losses such as yours. Take care and may your beautiful boy run free and play with gramma at the bridge. angelicon

)))Tears((( I am so sorry you lost your baby. I worry all of the time about my boy Atlas. He is almost 8 yrs old. My boy is really starting to get gray. It seems like their stay with us is so short. I lost Abby when she was only 8 1/2 yrs old. Godspeed sweet angelicon Austin. Run young and pain free with all of our babies at the Rainbow Bridge.

I am so sorry to read of your loss of Austin. You gave him a peaceful and loving passage to the bridge and he is romping and playing, free of pain. What a sweet reunion he must have had with Gramma! May happy memories and the passage of time ease your pain.

I am so sorry to hear about sweet Austin. Like the others I was also hoping it wasn't you when I saw the title of the thread. Austin was obviously very special and I know you will miss him very much. It must be comforting to know that he has his Gramma to take care of him at the bridge.
