Boxer Buddy
If you are positive Layla is a boxer, may I suggest feeding her to her target weight, NOT what she weighs now. Karlyn is right, a 153 pound boxer is incredible and her neck does seem quite large. Even if she isn't a boxer or is a mix, there are very few breeds that would be in the weight range. Because she sounds like she is overweight, feeding her to the weight she is now, she will NEVER lose the weight.
If she is on the larger side I would try feeding her what the bag says for a 70 to 75 lb dog and that I think is still pushing it.
In your original post you said that she just sniffs the food and walks away and in a later post you mentioned some people that live with you are most likely feeding her no-no foods. That right there might contributing to the problem of her just sniffing and walking away, because she knows that she can get the tasty yummy human food later on. I would have a serious chat with your house mates and urge them very strongly not to feed her anything.
I also agree with Debbie about getting her thyroid checked, could explain both the hair loss and the weight.
Good luck and keep us posted.
