I am in the middle of doing my hair and Asia started to throw up yellow liquid stuff. It had foam-ish looking stuff on top of it. Do you know what this could be or if I should be worried?

There is absolutely no way for her to get into any kind of poisinous stuff so I know that isn't it (we live in an apartment and she's never outside without me).

Any ideas on what it could be?

The yellow stuff is stomach bile. Thats what puke looks like when they don't have anything in there stomach. Clean it up quick cuz its pure acid!

Boxers don't do well with empty tummies and tend to throw up bile. Asia is hungry, feed her. Try giving her a large biscuit before bed and that usually helps prevent the rumbly tummies in the morning.

EEEkkkk, do you know why she is throwing it up? Just an upset stomach or something worse? That's scary (acid) ... I am trailing her cleaning it up so that's no worry ...

This morning when I woke up, I put food in her bowl but she is paying no attention to it. Hmmm...

Thanks for the idea about the biscuit, I will try that tonight. This is the first time she has ever thrown up yellow stuff, I guess that's why I'm so confused!

Thanks for helping me out (so far - hehe) guys!

Bile in their tummy tends to upset it. Does she keep throwing up? Markus usually only throws up a couple of times. Unfortunately, once they start throwing up, it's hard to get them to eat as their tummy is upset. Stinky treats usually work the best. Someone once suggested feeding bread as it will soak up the bile in the stomach. Try various things and see what works.

Good luck!

I forgot to mention ...

When we wake up in the morning, I put food in Asia's bowl...BUT, she won't eat the first time until Mark gets home from work (usually between 2 and 3). This has just recently started - since we've gotten out of school for the holidays, he has been working mornings. As soon as he walks in the door, she will greet him with wiggles, then go eat her food.

Should I be concerned about this or is it just the change in his schedule that is confusing her? This has only been like the past three days ...

Oh, and she only threw up three times, they were small puddles. I could tell something wasn't quite right because she was walking around with her head held real low and stuff. I'll try and get her to eat; I just gave her a biscuit and she scarfed it up. At 11.30, I'm supposed to take Mark's lunch to him, so I will bring her food with us and see if she will eat it ...

Harley tries to eat grass too. The only problem is that he always waits till he's back inside to throw it up so I don't let him have it. I just try to find something else to make him eat. Which he sometimes throws up, but the odds are better.

The fact that Mark's schedule has changed may have something to do with it. I would be concerned that Asia will only eat when Mark is there. That could cause problems is anything were to happen so that he wasn't going to be there for a few days. I really work on getting her to eat when he's not there.

Good luck!
