Asia gets scared when I talk

Lately, we have been having some family problems, but I am not what you would call a 'yeller', although I am a very animated speaker (I grew up in a very theatrical family, what do you expect)! By animated I mean if I am upset with someone I'm talking to on the phone, I will walk around the house and move my arms around while I'm talking like I am having a regular conversation, sometimes raising my voice for someone to hear me (just like talking over music or something), but I never yell.

My family has been calling me lately yelling at me about things that are completely out of my control and when I talk, Asia gets scared and boy I mean SCARED! She will lay on her back and roll over with her paws in the air and her ears back and she will start shaking (not uncontrollably, just like she is cold)! I have never in my life yelled at her or hit her or abused her in any way, no one has! So, I can't figure this out!

It just happenned, so I hung up the phone with my cousin and called her over to me, she came (although reluctantly at first), and I just held her loving on her, and she went back to everything being just fine! She went and got her toy, brought it over to me and we started to play fetch!

She's done this twice now, and I can't figure out why. Is she scared of me? I am not the discipliner, mainly Mark is. I feel like a horrible person! Any suggestions on why she is acting this way?

Our Boxer babies are very sensitive, & pick up on our vibes,whether we are mad,upset,happy or etc. they know these things sometimes before we do. It could be your voice, it could be your actions,a scent your body is putting out,or a number of things they pick up on, that humans don't.Idon't know how old your Boxer is,but if she is young,she may just be noticing these things in her surroundings.We could all learn a lot, if we just watched our Boxers reactions with people or what is going on around us,its like they have an extra sense that we don't have & maybe hers is just developing & it upsets her to see these things in you,give her some time & she will understand,just show you love her & its not meant toward her. This is what I have seen in my Boxers.LOL, Hanley

I know dogs roll on their backs to show submision to other dogs. I am a very animated talker also, and I am a yeller when I get upset. Cisco does not seem to notice, but anytime I am upset my pomeranian will run and hide. I guess some dogs are just more intune to our emotions than others.
