Are people afraid of your boxer(s)??

If people don't know Xena, they are scared of her! If they know her, they know how much of a suck she really is!:rolleyes:
The worse was a family that just came to our town. They are originally from India. Everyone of them is scared to death of Xena, even though I have stressed to them that she is not to be feared....she's lovable. The woman literally throws herself against walls of buildings with her hands out hanging on to the wall, and screams...."GET IT AWAY....GET IT AWAY...EVIL...EVIL".:rolleyes: :rolleyes: I think she's absolutely ridiculous and SHE'S scaring my Xena!!:p :p :p I just give up trying to explain to them that Xena is not aggressive because they believe that dogs are EVIL!! It used to offend me, but now I find it to be good quality entertainment!:p

Unfortunately, Oscar intimidates the heck out of people but only because of his "look." I was talking to the vet about it and he said he thinks its the boxer dark face mask and their build and I have to agree.

Oscar went in for a yearly check on Monday. We walked into the office and a huge muscle-bound man was standing at the reception desk. He looked at us and immediately YELLED "Oh my gawd! Keep that dog on the other side of the room....can you hold him? (Oscar and I are calmly seated waiting for our turn)....are you sure? He'd take my face off! He looks like he wants to eat me!!! (at that point a toddler waddled over to Oscar) OH MY GAWD----SOMEBODY GET THAT KID!!" (while Oscar is giving the child a proper face washing like every good Boxer should). During all of this, the receptionist is calmly saying to the man "Oh that's just Oscar......you'd be more apt to be licked to death by him than anything else....he's such a nice boy." I don't think this guy heard a word she was saying and he practically RAN out of the office.

I really felt bad and I'm at the point that I'm so tired of people accusing me of having a pit bull, an attacking people eater, etc. :(
I'm now at that point of ignoring them. Oh well. :rolleyes:

I did have to laugh though because this guy was HUGE. I wonder if he ever thought about how HE intimates people because of HIS look? Hmmmmm.......
