Are any bones ok?

My friend got some raw bones for our dogs from the butchers and we're unsure whether they're ok for them to have. We're not even sure what bones they're from 9good hosewives aren't we ).

They look pretty good to me. They are nice and meaty and you should give lots of chewing. They may not eat all the bone, but they should get lots of chewing out of them.

Thanks for posting the pictures. Until seeing these raw bones, I was really unsure what to expect. Do you know if those bones would be good for my 10wk boxer, Chopper? He is rather big for his age, but still young.

They are perfect for chewing on, whatever the age :D Lily would do just about anything for bones like that :D

I've tried to give similar bones to Mason and he tends to swallow them whole. He makes me nervous. When he has chicken, he chews and chews before swallowing. But these bones he gulps. Should I avoid altogether? I haven't been giving them to him because of this.

how big are the bones? try giving him larger bones for recreational chewing. he can't swollow the big ones. can he?

we give bones to bugsy for his b-day and special occasions, large cattle bones. they are great as they are large and inexpensive treats, usually the butcher will even give them to us for free. he loves them but we had to limit how long he chews them as he tends to vomit bile if left to chew for hours, we also prefer to give them to him outside a it makes a big mess.

I have been giving him ground beef for his RAW beef and beef liver since I haven't found beef bones that he hasn't swallowed. Most of his RMB is from poultry. I am trying a meat/meet next month and am ordering some beef necks to try. I think he will do better with those.

how does he do when he swallows the bone? is he throwing up the bone or is it you that is so upset? the reason why I am asking is most dogs just align the bone to swallow. 2 gulps and down it goes.
