As many of you know I am on vacation and left Arabella and Thor in care of someone else. Our sitter is a co-worker of my husband's. She has daughter who is nearly 5 and Arabella is in LOVE!!! The first day she sent us a picture of the two of them together, tuckered out and sitting on the back patio! Thor is doing great too! (That makes me VERY happy and relieved!) In the mean time I got to love on a beautiful 2 yr old white boxer baby today! She moved out to the west coast just 2 short months ago from NJ. (thankfully missed the storm Sandy) She was having some health issues so I of course mentioned Boxerworld to her owner. (I am secretly hoping to see a boxer everyday I am here to get my wiggle fix!)

So pleased Arabella and Thor are doing well. I know how hard it is to leave them. I always used to be not homesick, but Millie Boxer sick when we went away, just wanted to get back home to her..My husband said that going away on holiday was a waste of money!!
Know what you mean about wanting to see a Boxer a day too, I'm dreadful, if I see one while I'm out, I have to go up and make a fuss, and get lots of slobby kisses!..I think all of us on here are the same, you have to be a Boxer person to understand.
Enjoy your trip, hope you get to see lots of smooshy faces, and look forward to that wonderful reunion when you get back!

Glad to home with my pups!

We got delayed by fog and missed our connecting flight as well, but did make it home at a reasonable hour and only 3 hrs late. Our dog sitter stopped in and gave the dogs the meds and fed them dinner. So it all worked out. Arabella must have wiggled non-stop for over 30 minutes after we got home. Thor was glad to see us as well, but also let me know we were go too long. He greeted us at the door and then promptly started to either ignore us, unless he was demanding something. I was a bit hurt about being ignored and I of course gave in to any demand. Come bedtime he was ready to snuggle. He is still being a bit demanding. And by demanding I mean standing near the cookie jar and whining, and I am starting to not give in, but boy is it hard! I don't think I can leave him again.

Arabella on the other hand, as I said was very happy to see us, but by the next morning was looking for new friend Ashley. She was easily distracted by any ball I found. So glad to be home and snuggle with my babies! BTW out trip was fantastic had perfect weather up into the fogged rolled in at the end. But hey, what is a San Francisco trip without some fog. Well that and the two naked accordian players in the Castro district.
