What a great tribute
I followed Apollo's story with bated breath, hoping that somehow he would get better. I had just put my sweet girl Cadence down and was truly hoping that you wouldn't have to suffer the way I have suffered. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. But the tribute you have given Apollo is so beautiful that the wonderful bond you shared far outweighs the bad stuff. I understand how you feel about another boxer never being quite the same. I, too, am thinking about another boxer and honestly can't imagine it not being my Cadence. But I know that she sits at the Bridge, probably with Apollo, and watches over me and keeps my family and I safe. It helps me to know that she is not alone, and that she is having a blast, running free and playing with all of her new friends. Know that Apollo too is safe, running free and breathing freely again, and he, too, is playing with all of his new friends. He will always be with you and will always watch over you. He waits for you to meet him at the Bridge, where you will one day be reunited in a flurry of wiggles, kisses, and wrestling! My prayers continue to be with you and your family during this difficult time. I hope that you will be able to open your heart to another boxer baby and that your pain will be replaced (probably not completely) with the wonderful memories that you hold in your heart.
Run free, sweet Apollo. Give Cadence a kiss for me.
