I was watching Animal Cops Houston, think it was Tuesday night, and they had two boxers on there that had been neglected and were taken in by the SPCA. They were SSOOO cute and lovey! They SPCA worker said they were great candidates for adoption because of their great personalities but would have to be adopted together b/c they were virtually inseperable... just wondering if anyone else loves to watch animal cops! i love to get my fill before bedtime...

We do watch Animal cops from time to time, however, my wife often finds it too difficult to watch. She can't handle the neglect and abuse of the animals on the show.

I did see an Animal Cops episode a while ago where two boxers were rescued from some type of an industrial site where they were acting as guard dogs. What I do remember from THAT epsisode was how friendly these "guard" dogs were... the officers didn't use control sticks, just leashes to gently lead the beautiful boxers away (for adoption to a real home).

Is that the one you have seen?

I watch Animal Cops also. But I always get myself worked up. I just cant believe what some people do to their babies. I am so glad that there are people out there looking after the best interest of the animals. I just wish there was more we could do to make it safe for all the animals in this world.

:( I can't handle it either. I usually turn it off as soon as I see it. One I did see tho had a Boxer who was seen by the Michigan SPCA as they were driving by the house. She was tied to a tree in a mud puddle and her chain was growing into her neck. They thought she had been tied for days. MSPCA tried contacting the owner, came back a day later (it was still there) and rescued it.
She was eventually adopted. At the end of the show, they showed her with her new family, playing fetch in the snow!
It was so great to see. But still depressing.

I think the show is the a train wreck, it's horrible, it makes me sick to my stomache, and yet I have to watch it. I feel so bad for those animals that I start to cry. I haven't seen any of them that feature boxers, thank goodness, I don't know if I could handle it.

kinda makes me want to quit my job and go find the closest SPCA to work for! What horrible people to treat dogs so horribly! I hate watching it sometimes also, but sometimes i get so interested to see how they will turn out it keeps me into it...

Thats my plan heh. Get a vet tech degree, then work at an SPCA or as animal control or animal cruelty officer. Id rather SPCA though
