Yobdlog: We live in Andersonville too. (Clark and Winona) You didn't happen to be walking down Ravenswood yesterday afternoon, did you? I almost crashed the car when I turned to look at a beautiful flashy fawn boxer. :o

If you’re ever interested in meeting at the dog park or something, let me know. Chula would love to play, I’m sure.

The Evanston beach is at Sheridan and Clark area. There is a small building right in front of it. I would love to meet up with other boxers soon. We could def. make it to the park at Lawrence as well. We'll be laying low for awhile, but will meet up as soon as we feel up to it.

How's Chula feeling? Lucky is going in tomorrow and all fingers (and paws) are crossed that all goes well.

Yes, that was me on Ravenswood yesterday afternoon. Since it rained most of the afternoon, I avoided the park route and I take her through the neighborhoods. Roxy does have quite a coat on her and it helped that she got her monthly bath just a few days ago. I actually live at the corner of Winona/Wolcott.

I usually hit the dog park/beach (the Lawrence/Montrose locations) at least 3 times a week. I'll let you know if I anticipate going this weekend which I'm about 99.9% sure that I will be.

To Lucky Dog:
Thanks for the direction, I have a very good idea of where that is at. I'll let you know as well if I head that direction.

I haven't posted since we dropped Lucky off, but wanted to give a quick update. We dropped her off at 8 AM on Friday and at 9:15 got a call from the vet. She has a urinary tract infection that made them unable to spay her that day. She ended up spending the night at the vet's - to monitor the medication - and came home on Saturday morning. The weird part was she never seemed to be sick at all. But, she's on medication now and this weekend we'll go back to see if it is still there. If so, we'll do more med, but if not, we can schedule her spaying for a week or so later.

She is the same little spaz that she's always been so it doesn't seem to be bothering her too much. :)

Glad to hear that she's still doing good. Funny you mentioned about a UTI. I'm beginning to suspect that my Roxy may have one as well. She started having some odd urination habits at the most odd moments and she goes out as often as we can take her (5 times let out a day). We're keeping a close eye on her to see how long the oddities last before we make the vet appointment.

On another note, I will be taking her to the doggie park on Marine Drive this afternoon around 5:30ish.

So if you'd like to meet Roxy let me know and perhaps we'll hook up there if you or anyone else is interested.

It has been awhile since I've posted and wanted to just give a quick update. Lucky was on medication for 10 days for her UTI and that seemed to clear up. When they were doing a test, they noticed that her white blood cell count was still high. So, they did more medicine and another urine test. That came with still high cells. We took her Friday to spend the day at the vet and get a "sterile sample" they could do a culture on. We are waiting for the results -- due sometime this week.

Never the less, I'd love to try and get together for a boxer play day. I would go to the park on Marine Drive if that would work. Let me know if anyone is interested.
