Anyone near the Tri-Cities in Tennessee?

Hurricane would really love a boxer friend to run and play with. We just moved here in August and we don't know anyone to socialize him with. We are willing to drive a little way so if you don't live in the city that's ok too, just looking for a boxer buddy to hang out with!

We live in Abingdon, VA, about 45 min away. Jack (11 mos) would like a buddy, too. There are several parks between here and there. Let us know if you want to hang out.

That would be fun! Where are these parks? We are fairly new to the area so I am not familiar with a lot of places yet.

You've got Sugar Hollow Park in Bristol, VA (Exit 7), Warriors Path in Kingsport, TN, Winged Deer Park in Johnson City... all of these however make you keep your dog on a leash. I don't know of any "dog parks" around here. But at least they could make a new friend.

Actually, after doing some searching, there is a new dog park in Johnson City at Willow Springs Park (South Johnson City). You have to pay a fee to be a "park member" but it looks interesting. You outta check it out.

I did know about the "dog park" but I want to wait until he is a little older before I let him loose with a bunch of other dogs. I didn't know about those others though, I will have to check them out. Anytime you want to get together and let Hurricane and Jack play around just let me know. I work 8-5 but weekends are always good!
