da*m dogs...

I am sorry, but those dogs have been coming out there EVERY month and the same da*m thing happens EVERY time!!

I am going to say something next time! I can't take it ANYMORE .. I was holding the camera and saw the brown and white one head over to the haystacks, and threw the camera at my husband and headed that way ... I would SOOOOO snap that dogs head off if he even came near any of them!! I walked over to my girls (ALL 4 - two mine and two friends) and told them to not go anywhere near them, my oldest said she already knew and had told the others to get up on top, (that was prolly the time I saw that sh*t jump UP ON the stacks) and get away from them!

You know, I think he does it on purpose??!! He comes in, and drops his KID - yes his SON and his CHAIR right in our group every time, and stands there like we invited him. The first few times I guess was there to make friends. BUT after more than months on end, and your DOGS keep coming right to our bash and starts something EVERY TIME, get the F*CK out of here, you are NOT wanted!!

SORRY if I grabbed any of your babies by their collar, BUT GET THE HINT, we don't want you near our BABIES!!

I told one after grabbing Lexi (I can't rememeber who I grabbed) to GET OUT OF HERE!

I even stood in front of Houston, you know that REALLY big white one with brown on him, yea like he needed some protection!! :)

I know that this is a FREE LEASH FREE park for dogs, but I think he is now enjoying bringing them out there just to start something.

YES it is sad when we have to grab our dogs just as we see them coming, that right there says alot, it is not other people grabbing their other breeds from us, it is US grabbing our SAME breeds and holding them until HIS are gone.

Us grabbing boxers, other breed gone, go figure, and I thought boxers were mean.

Hubby over heard some lady say "... that boxers are mean, so why in h*ll would they put this many in one place" .. he almost went over to tell her something ... I bet she only saw them either playing, or defending themselves from those DOGS!!

:D
One a lighter note, I should have the pictures up later tonight, or tomorrow morning... same place :)

red collar ..

Patty,
I think that might be Boru. She(mommy) came to the last one from a LOOOONG drive right after work. She got there as we were all leaving, it was dark last time. She made it out this time early and in the day light ..

That was soo cool we'll have to move it up slowly again for more day light and less heat!

It was nice to see some new faces .. yea for Leah and new Lexi, boy she was a bundle of energy!

Bosco, hun, you are beeeautiful! I wanted you to bounce long after you stopped :)

Rowdy, and dad, I know Niko loves you guys ....

Did you see how 'old lady' Niko was behaving ... she has her weird days some times .. said she was going to be kicked out of the young group with that old fart behavior of hers smashicon

Well, we certainly had a great time. Lexi jumped right into the thick of things. I expected her to get along well, but she shocked even me.

I'm looking forward to pics of the bash. I didn't get to meet as many people as I'd hoped, and to those of you I spoke with, I'm sorry I didn't get your names. Foolish me. I was so busy keeping my eyes on where Lexi was going and my 2 skinkids, that I just couldn't devote myself to socializing myself as much as I wished to. :D

Next month, hopefully, I'll get more of an opportunity.

It was very nice meeting those people that I did meet, and I'll hope to see you all next month.

It's a huge park and with all the boxers we have, maybe we should just move. Whether we like it or not, people are intimidated by our dogs and if we move, then they can't bug us . . .

The Big grey and white came over to challenge my dogs. I had them on leash at the time because my son had gone back to the car for more water. Jazz was scared just by being at the park the first time and Prue was having fun ,but I had seen the Aussies bothering the other dogs so We decided to leash them to have more control by myself until he returned. The grey stood and stared at my two for quite some time, he finally left when none of us responded to him.

I noticed the owner went to the back of the park for a while and came back to our group with the dogs...so will moving our location help any? What about trying a different Saturday , a one time only, just to see if he shows up? Maybe that would work. He may have figured out we show up on the last Sat. of the month. We may need to try to out smart him.

It is too bad they don't mow more grass/weeds down so people can spread out. Maybe someone who lives in the Allen or Plano area that can have a say in community affairs can call the city. They could let them know more dogs have been coming to the park and more space is needed so they can spread out could some onecome out and mow a larger area.

Just a couple of ideas.

hum..

Patty,
I talked to hubby more about it .. it seems that this owner comes out a lot :( it seems that his dogs do it to all breeds.. it is more like he doesn't care or doesn't 'notice' that his dogs are a 'small' problem.

I agree about the mowing and moving of our location... I live here, I bet I can find the number, get them to mow more often, and then we can move away from the main trail coming into the park.

I have noticed that his dogs are the only ones that come in and 'bother' us. We have always been on the trail either closer to the entrance or farther back ... and it hadn't matter where we went. I don't think I noticed that any other breed had come in and bothered us, just his.

I also don't think that anyone had ever made comments about boxers being problems either, I am not sure why that lady made that comment, but I don't think anyone has ever made any kind of comment or had a concern of our being there in such a big group. Some have even 'joined' the group with us there, all in one larger group, with boxers and other breeds romping around, even then he would come in and 'join' the group and his dogs would be a problem with all the dogs.

I just think that if we get them to mow often enough, that we can move it back, and off the trail (so newbies can still find us!), so we can be out of the way for people/dogs just coming in.

:)

You must be talking about Boru. He is a large dark brindle with a red checked collar. I saw him playing with a smaller dark brindle with a purple collar. Was that Prue? I couldn't believe how fast I thought he was running, but it turned out to be her! Boru told me he really liked her ;)

Long Time No See

I was trying to reply to this thread but I think I started a new thread on accident. Oh well, if you see a brand new thread out there that says "Dallas-FW Long Time No See" then you'll know it's my stupid mistake. Anyway...

Hello everyone. It's taken me a while to go through the messages since the last time I was in here. Now that I've caught up on reading posts from the previous bashes, I thought I would say hi.

I was part of the original group that went out to the park, but a hectic schedule has kept me from attending anymore. Hopefully that will change soon. It's been fun reading how each event has gone over the past few months. My two Boxers - Titus and Tatum - would love to come back out and rejoin the crew. The last time we were out there, Tatum was still a puppy and she still had plenty of that Boxer puppy recklessness. Now that they're both adults I have no doubt they would pick right up where they left off. cool2icon

We'll mark October 26th on our calendars and try our hardest to come out there with all of you. Just to make sure - what time do you all usually meet? I hope to see everyone out there and hopefully this month will have a good turnout so Titus and Tatum can get their social skills back in order.

Take care everyone!

The time will be nailed down during the week prior to the bash, but my guess will be between 5 and 6 pm for a start time. Welcome back!
