Anyone located in the Dallas area?

Boru and I had a great time! He also tried to leave without me, following a group towards the cars. I called him, and he totally ignored me. So here I am trotting after him... "BORU,,,BORU" wearing my obedience club t-shirt. Hmmm. Now there's a trained dog! I started laughing about on the drive home after I realized how silly we looked :o O.K., I looked silly. But we had a great time meeting everyone in the daylight hours. Hope to make it to the next one.

Boy am I jealous hearing everyone talk about what a great time they had! We didn't get to come this time because Nathan had to work late :( . The Australian Shepherds were back again?!? They caused trouble last month! You would think the owner would get the message. I told Nathan we HAVE to go next time. We had such fun last month. Sounds like there was a good turn out and everyone had a blast! Hope to see you in October!

I think Bosco had a great time last night! That was our first bash and he has never been around that many dogs so I was kinda worried but he loved it. He was so pooped that he slept all the way home and went to bed as soon as we got home. And I really enjoyed seeing all the other furbabies and seeing some of you and putting faces with names.

Yes, the austrailian shepards were there and Bosco got to meet them personally. One of them tried to pick a fight with him! Very annoying! Is there somewhere we could meet for the next one that is away from the main trail (and away from some of those dogs we don't want to be around). Just a suggestion.

i've been saying the same thing for months! we tried that last month, but we all ended up in the same place

and those shepards - hate em, that red n white one always starts crap and the owner can't handle them. kaiser and that one have gotten into it numerous times :(

but beyond all that, we had a great time last nite!! sorry we didn't stick around more but i needed to get kaiser off leash and there were way too many kids around for me to do that comfortably - so we went swimming instead - mine love that creek!

Sounds like the bash was a lot of fun. Can't wait to see the pics, Samantha? I am so bad for not coming, I wanted a night to myself so Michael took the dogs w/ him to his friend's house to play with their dogs. I wish I had come now. :rolleyes:

What to do about those Shepards??!?!? They should be on leash if he can't control them. Hope Bosco didn't get hurt badly. :(

I wish we could have been there. After Duke pulled a dissappearing act from the back yard he was worn out and his feet hurt because he wore down his nails to the point of them bleeding. Duke slept all evening till the next day. I guess he couldnt wait till the evening to leave for the boxerbash.

Boscoe is a BIG boy and has nothing to fear around those shepards. It's a shame that we all feel like we have to grab our dogs when they come by. I wouldn't mind moving the location within the park, but the grass was so tall. Maybe they will mow it soon and it will quit growing for the winter.

No, no one got hurt. Bosco was fine. It wasn't a fight just growling and the Shepard lunged at him. I'm sure he was getting ready to put the stupid Shepard in his place but I didn't give him time. I had to pull him back but I just thought it was very annoying to have to do that because the Shepard started it. I never even saw the Shepard's owner repremanding his dog or anything. I don't even remeber seeing him around. :rolleyes:
If his dogs are that aggressive he should keep them out of there or else they are going to get hurt and then he'll be sorry (or perhaps he doesnt care; he doesn't seem to care to watch them while he's there). It just seems Bosco was having a fine time until they came into the mix and then I leashed him because I really did not want to see a fight (even if Bosco is bigger). I didn't even notice if he leashed his dogs (probably not). I took Bosco off down the trail for a little while after that to get away from them.

Yes, I hope they mow that grass so maybe we can meet somewhere else next time.

Sorry, Vasha that I didn't get to talk to you. I wanted to meet you finally but it was just so crazy! Maybe next time.
