Thanks!!! I hope to see you all very soon. I surprised my husband with this little bundle of joy a couple of months ago. I had no idea what I was in for when I got him, but he is GREAT! And after finding BW I am enjoying Hammer even more!! He doesn't seem to be quite as annoying now.

play group & dog park

There is a new dog park in plano. I know how to get there but i am not able to give the directions(because I dont know them at the moment). Duke would love to get together with other boxers. I was trying to find out if there is a boxer club in the Dallas area that held gaterings so I can get involved in. Duke was in a puppy class with another boxer and he loved to play with him(so if Sarg's. parents from Allen are reading this let me know). Its great to see so many boxers around the area.

It's my understanding that the Bash is held the last Saturday of each month at about 8:00 PM at the dog park in Allen/Plano area.

City: Dallas (Plano/Allen area)
Address: Tatum Street
Directions: From Dallas, go north on Central Expressway 75 to McDermott Exit in Allen. Head west a couple of miles and turn left on Alma. The entrance to the park is on the left, Tatum Street.
Hours: 6am-10pm
Comments: This is a large 20-acre (roughly) open field with trees and trails

I hope we get to come! It is the first weekend after our classes start back, thought, so I hope we are up for it! I know I will be, but home I don't have too much homework :( If for some reason we aren't there, I hope you all have fun!

conemara park

Has anyone been out to conemara park. I went out there tonight and it is a nice looking place. What I want to know is people out there let there dogs run off leash and they dont run away. How do you know that your dog would not run off? How do you train your dog to stay close?

We haven't been out there yet, but that's where the Boxer Bash is (last Saturday of the month) at about 8PM. I can't be any help on the off-leash issue, but I am interested in any replies you get. I have a feeling this is something we'll need to know.

We're going to try our best to be there this coming Saturday for the Boxer Bash, Hammer would love to play with others! I just don't know how well he'll handle it yet.
