Anyone located in the Dallas area?

Boxer Bash

Hey everybody!

I am new to the site. I posted last year about this time about vacation issues, but I was reading about the boxer bashes. What are they, exactly, and when is the next one? We have lived in the Dallas area for a few years, but don't know many boxer people. My baby is an only child and loves to play with other dogs. Unfortunately, his cousins are both little dogs ( a Jack Russell and a Maltese) so he is constantly being reminded to be careful. We have been to the dog park a couple of times, but the dog fights drove us away. Ali is not a fighter and ended up in the middle getting bullied. I am very interested in socializing him with other boxers!

He sounds just like Rowdy. He likes to play with little dogs because that's all he knows. At boxer bashes, he is glued to my side in awe of all the beautiful dogs, when he is the best looking one!!!!!!!!!!!!!:p

Probably around seven. We are usually staying til about nine, so it gives Kaiser n Lola two hours to romp around

Are you guys headed to the dog park at White Rock? Have you had any trouble with dog fights there? We have taken Ali a couple of times and he loved it, but both times there were either dog fights or dogs that were bullying the others. Since Ali is so mild mannered and doesn't know what real fighting is, he tends to get bullied. We would love to come play!

No, we usually meet at the dog park in Allen. It's gorgeous out there and not as crowded as I hear WR is (I've never been up there).

Address: Tatum Street
Directions: From Dallas, go north on Central Expressway 75 to McDermott Exit in Allen. Head west a couple of miles and turn left on Alma. The entrance to the park is on the left, Tatum Street.

Sorry we didn't make it to the play date on Thursday. It was storming here and we thought it would probably be too muddy. Ali would have loved it, of course, but Dad's car wouldn't have! :rolleyes:

Mine LOOOOOVED the mud and then we came home and they HATED their baths

We should be out there tonight around seven. And probably Sunday around seven, I'm not sure about Saturday night.
