more dog names

Argus was the fawn rescued dog - he had the poor scars on his back. Tasha is his sister, a petite flashy fawn, I think she was wearing a green collar. My two were Clubber - tall, skinny guy with funny cropped ears. Bailey is the petite flashy fawn - I have a pic of her on our profile. Hmmm, I can't remember anymore names not listed already.

I am so pumped about the BBWP...thanks so much for doing this!

Hi! I live in Dallas and have not made it to a Boxer Bash, and don't know if my 18mo. old male, Tucker, could handle it. We used to go to the dog park at White Rock Lake almost every day for months, until he was about a year old...that's when he started picking fights and we stopped going. :( I was wondering if any one has had the same problem. He does get along with my parent's two little dogs, but so far that's it:confused:

You never know until you try. At least with us there will be a lot of the same dogs every month. Another dog thought she had to defend me from my Rowdy and her and another dog jumped on Rowdy. We handled it pretty well and it was all over in about 5 seconds. After that they all got along fine as usual. And at least most of the dogs will be the same size so a dog probably wouldn't get hurt in the time it takes for the people to break it up. We had about 20 dogs playing and everyone had a blast. There was another dog who was a recent rescue who had obviously been abused. After a couple of hours, he was playing off leash with the other dogs. Your welcome to come out and give it a shot. At Connemara, there are 100 acres to roam so if you want to be by yourself you can always find a spot. White Rock is very small and it's hard to avoid anybody.

I was out at the park on Saturday and had some problems w/Max getting aggressive too. I don't think he picks fights, but gets very defensive - as soon as anyone else shows signs of aggression or even rough play, he feels the need to assert himself. He seemed okay at first but then got into it with a couple of dogs, and was really edgy after that. I've heard that dogs feel less defensive when off leash, but I felt too nervous to leave him to his own devices after the scuffles:( . I had a great time :p other than worrying about Max. I'd definitely like to come back, but I'm not so sure about bringing him again. Does anyone out there have any ideas? I got him last summer from Lone Star Boxer Rescue in Houston, and Sharon (foster mom) said he had trouble at the dog park with her too. I'm a little confused b/c one of his best friends is a 120 pound male rott who typically doesn't like other big males...but Max and Ty get along great. Maybe the number of dogs at the dog park is too much:confused:

website - wow

Great job Sjamskids! The website looks great and you did an awesome job of including most (if not all) of the dogs. My babies are on the following slides:
#1: Clubber with Kaiser
#2: Bailey is the floppy fawn facing the other floppy, fawn, stripe
#3: Clubber with Rowdy's skin brother Seth
#5: Tasha (not mine)
#6: Bailey - close up of tounge
#17: Clubber and Bailey

Kara and Kylaw- keep trying with Max and Tucker. I think it is a great idea to start them out socializing with only one or two larger dogs at a time. :)

She Was Under the Chairs

The little girl under the chairs was Bailey. She is 11 weeks old. My wife and I had a blast, as well as the dog. Bailey was running around for a while with all the big boxers (I think she was hoping one was her mom). When they started playing kind of rough, she shyed away. She would sneek out from under the chairs, but she kept them in sight.

We took her on one of the paths to let here run by herself, and she met that big Great Dane. He ran up to her and she just yelped and rolled onto her back. She thought she was a gonner, but he never even touched her.

We are looking forward to the next time we can make it out. Baily slept most of the day and all night after only being out a little over an hour. That was worth it all.

Thanks again to all your nice comments, and we're looking forward to next month.
