I'll bring whatever is needed as long as I can come. The fourth weekend of the month is not the last weekend of the month, so I will be on pager on the 30th. I can still come, I just might get drug off by work.(probably not though) If you have a lot of stuff, I suggest bringing the kid's wagon or some other kind of cart. If the weather is nice, I might bring the stroller with the baby inside. Noah rolled over this morning for the first time! Anyway, we look forward to the 30th. I'll probably spend the 23rd house hunting.

hiya guys!!

Like I said in the far beginning I wasn't sure about food or drink being allowed in the park, (I am sure for the other dogs getting a sniff of it, and a fight braking out etc..) but Hubby said he was sure they allowed it... if so, someone catch me on that!

picnics are allowed . . .

from www.guidelive.com

Soon after Connemara Conservancy was formed as a land trust in 1981, it acquired a 72-acre parcel of land in then-rural Collin County to set aside as a preserve. Though Connemara is now surrounded by residential development, the meadow and woods on the land remain undeveloped for people to enjoy year-round during daylight hours for picnics, nature study or simple moments of solitude.

I also wanted to know where a good meeting place was for everyone. That park is soooo huge, that we went in, went a ways out, and thought, if we keep going, we might miss everyone, so we went back to the entrance and from there, to your left was a huge opening that we happen to find everyone and hung out. Is that an ok place to find everyone, sorta out of the center (were all the other breeds were) and yet seeing distance of the entrance!

raiden (selby) and i were JUST talking bout a meeting place for everyone. how about the place where we FIRST met? (for you firsttimers, if you enter the park and go towards your left, you'll be there) and then once we get everyone settled there, we can either search for a bigger place, or just stay there.

I can't wait for the 30th, unless you guys want to be out there tomorrow! (Sat.16) If it looks good for us, we might just go for some exercise!! Had to many slices of cheese cake .... hubby insisted on buying it

we can't make it out tommorrow :( kaiser still has stitches in from his neuter, and i dont wanna risk anything happening (yes, yes i'm an overprotective mom lol). but we'd LOVE to have gone!!

SEE YOU GUYS ON THE 30TH!!

yay :)

SNACKS?

Well, i am glad to see everyone has an interest in coming out on the 30th. Well the water for the dogs was the primary reason for asking since it seems they drink more than we been bringing. But the snacks for people i would say bring what you want for yourself and anyone with you. The water for the dogs should be enough if everyone brings about a gallon or 2. I am trying to get a big chest to pour the water in as a pseudo trough for the puppies. It wont be to tall and hold about 2 gallons at a time, so if we can try to bring a combined of about 10 gallons, then i think the puppies will be fine. I know that if the weather is nice that you might want to bring yourself some liquids to make sure that you are hydrated. Well i look forward to seeing all of you and your puppies out there. Also as far as the meeting place, i think that Vasha has a good plan since for the old timers that have been to the first bash know the place we met, to the left of the entrance, but also the newbies can see it from the entrance if they are looking..:D

YEP!

Raiden & Vasha,
Good one!

Thanks on the 'update' on the snacks... we brought snacks the first time (Feb) but ended up leaving them in the van .... gave them to my girls once we were on the road to my parents (hour drive and lunch time!)

water for the furbabies .. I have so far 2 milk gallons, and for the skins .. I have two drinking water gallons ... as for the snacks ... what is it you bring to a boxer bash, that the boxers wouldn't want .... lol .... mine eats anything and everything!! and that will keep for a few hours ...

also .. talking with my parents (it being easter weekend) they are wanting to come out that evening ... how long did you guys stay both times? We can stay for as long as my skinbabies are happy .. what about you guys? I figured if I met my folks about 3:30ish .. then there shouldn't be any complaining on their part .. lol ..

It has been raining good here most of the day ... I hope that means that spring is in the air, and the days will warm up, and a wonderful weekend is soon to come for our BB!

Hopefully the weather will be good enough so Noah and Carol can come to their first bash.

Boxer Play Time

Hi. . . Congrats on your new Boxer Baby. You are in for more fun and love than you ever imagined.

Play Time - there is a growing number of Boxer Families that meet the last Saturday of the month at the park in Allen - North of Plano. Refer to some of the other e-mails for directions. We missed the February group, but the March group is growing. I know there is a new liter of puppies who will be 5 weeks old that are coming and we will be there with our two - weather permitting.

One thing you will learn - Boxers don't like the weather if it is "too hot and/or too cold". They are not "outdoorsie pups" and so our day will depend on the weather but hopefully it will be nice and we will be there around noon.

Bring a picnic, blanket, water for the puppy and spend some time with other adults who are goofy for their Boxers. Also, don't hesitate to e-mail me if I can be of help. Baron (3 yrs on April 1st) and Sadie (3 yrs on July 1st) are our second pair of Boxers and we would be glad to help you out if need be.
You can e-mail me at: Email removed by moderator - please re-read the rules - hope to see you the end of the month and write when you have time.

Jim and Cindy, Baron and Sadie
