we missed you

We kept saying- "I wonder where Niko is??"
But- totally - I understand the cold factor with the skin babies. It was a tad nippy- and if they had already been out for an hour...brrr.
It was TERRIFIC meeting Kaiser and Barclay (did I spell that right? I'll have to check), and a "by happenstance" boxer was there named Rocky. We spread the word about the monthly bash to his folks. They're in.
There were about 10-15 dogs at any given time and it was really a lot of fun. What a great park. We will never go to White Rock again.
Rowdy's dad- if you read this- GREAT call on Connemara
Park. They have an art show going on there through Mothers Day and then they pull all those sculptures and then..drum roll please... they pull the porta potty. We met one of the guys that "runs" the park and he gave us this inside scoop. Pardon the pun.
I took some pictures and will upload them tonight or tomorrow.
We are bummed that the next bash falls on the weekend that we might be travelling for Easter :(
Darn it!!

Pictures are up

Hi- there are a few pictures of last Saturday at the park at the website below-

I'm bummed I didnt get more of Kaiser, but I was pretty busy helping Henri "be nice" to the puppy he wanted to , well , um, own.
They all ended up great friends and in a few months, Lil Kaiser can punch right along with the big kids....

Hello All

WELL, let me first say that I was always making fun a Vasha for being on the board all the time, but i have found my self addicted after the last few days. I am the co-owner "so called Dad" of kaiser. I have met some of you and your dogs, and i am glad. It seems like that everyone one hears is really into their children as much as I am and I have to say that I am glad that Vasha wanted a Dog, and a boxer at that. He is probably one of the greatest things in my life. Well I hope to see all of you at the bash on the 30th. I do have a question though. I was wondering if you guy would like to set up something where everyone brings something to make this outting more enjoyable. Like some bring water for the puppies, and others bring treats for the humans..just an idea.... Well..talk to you all soon!!

I am here!!

Nellie, I LOVE those pictures .. I put them (URL) on Nikos BB Page!

Guys, I feel bad about not getting everyone (my family) there last Saturday :( .... those pictures are great!

I can't wait for the 30th, unless you guys want to be out there tomorrow! (Sat.16) If it looks good for us, we might just go for some exercise!! Had to many slices of cheese cake .... hubby insisted on buying it!

About bringing goodies out, I vote for it!

We can bring maybe 2 (or more) tap water gallons for the dogs, depending on how much milk we devour between now and then! We can also bring some drinking water for the skins, I know that Rowdys brothers and my girls (so far) are the only skin kids, so I can bring some snacks for them .. (let me know if any other skin kids are coming!)

I have two folding chairs and two non-folding chairs.... tons of 'picnic' blankets, but nothing for shade..

Like I said in the far beginning I wasn't sure about food or drink being allowed in the park, (I am sure for the other dogs getting a sniff of it, and a fight braking out etc..) but Hubby said he was sure they allowed it... if so, someone catch me on that!

If we can, lets see about 'foods/snacks' that will keep in Texas heat of 105!! All bringing simple items for skins. We also have a huge ice chest... of course all of this is getting to full for our van .. LOL

I am not sure if you noticed the restaurants, grocery stores, and the pet store(s) on your way there, plenty of places to stop and get something if we need them!

I also wanted to know where a good meeting place was for everyone. That park is soooo huge, that we went in, went a ways out, and thought, if we keep going, we might miss everyone, so we went back to the entrance and from there, to your left was a huge opening that we happen to find everyone and hung out. Is that an ok place to find everyone, sorta out of the center (were all the other breeds were) and yet seeing distance of the entrance!

Oh I can't wait!

See you guys on the 30th!!

Niko and family

:p
